Aerobics Discussion

Newest Review: ... aerobics became second nature. I'm not fat, so didn't do the classes to lose weight, it was more to keep fit and feel energetic, and I have found aerobics to work well at this for me. I feel like aerobics has given me more energy and the exercises in the classes have made me more flexible. I'm even more coordinated in my dancing now thanks to aerobics. With free and very cheap classes available around the country, I can recommend aerobics as an exercise for people who enjoy moving about to music, feeling energised and working up a decent sweat in the name of good health! Aerobics works for me :)... more

My Experiences With Aerobics (337 words)

My first experience with aerobics - exercises that are often fast paced and involve a lot of movement - was at a class at a gym several years ago, when I wanted a fun, easy way of doing more exercise. I was pretty useless at first to be honest and I wasn't very keen! The intructor who led the class in their moves was good but it was clear she knew everyone else there and I was the only new person, so she didn't really bother to go through the moves with me. She'd come out with names of moves and then do them, and I'd be left struggling with two left feet not knowing where I was meant to be going. When a step was introduced - as in turning aerobics into step ...  Read the complete review

As a guy I'm often not surprised to find myself sometimes being the only one in this class amongst a load of girls! This phased me at first but you soon get used to it. The problem with aerobics is it has a very girly reputation and the big butch guys only come to do the heavy weights and show off how much they can lift. I am not one of these however and in many ways would rather be with a group of women than the other group mentioned. The thing is as well - if you have a decent instructor - with a well planned class - it can be a very effective cardio workout - although not all instructors are that good. Bear in mind though it is effectively a ...  Read the complete review

...well sort of!!! I have recently taken to exercising to get rid of the winter padding and get into shape for my summer holidays. I have lost an easy 1/2 stone in a few weeks with no major diet changes. More than that my wobbly bits are getting firmer and I look way slimmer. I exercise 5 times a week for 30 minutes and it costs me nothing but time. How's that then? Well I discovered a programme called Aerobics Oz style which is shown on Sky Sports 2 every morning at 7am. As I already subscribe to Sky this is where it is free!!! Aerobics Oz Style is an Australian programme which delivers a 30 minute aerobic programme every day. Dead ...  Read the complete review

Motivating and Fun!!!! (245 words)

Aerobics is a excellent way to lose weight and tone up muscle. The loud music that is played and the motivating instructor is a sure bet. The aerobic dance routines are fairly simple in a low impact class so that anybody can follow along to it. A high impact aerobic class is more challenging and should only be done after you wish to increase the intensity of your workout, and are skilled in the different routines. There are many different routines that the instructors are incorporating in the classes. For instance kick boxing is done. Kicking side kicks and front kicks along with giving punches is a real calorie burner and stress reducer. Not to say ...  Read the complete review

I feel so sorry for you. Well, I’m not looking at anyone else, am I? Yes, you! Sitting there like lethargy personified, motionless except for the swivelling of your eyeballs and the occasional twitch of the hand attached to your mouse. Wasn’t it you who once caused such a hoohah about having to move your wrist two centimetres backwards and forwards, that Microsoft eventually caved in and invented the contextual menu? Well, even if it wasn’t, I’m not letting you off. You’re still guilty of being lazy, and I’m about to seize the opportunity to be as condescendingly virtuous as I possibly can. Don’t move (not that you’d want ..  Read the complete review
