Advantages: Great afternoon out Disadvantages: Dreadful stadium
OK, we may not be the greatest side in the world but for fans of lower league clubs supporting their team means just as much as it does to any fan of any Premier League club. Bournemouth's ground, Dean Court has never been the packed venue that it could be. This, I think is very sad considering that we are the only league club for come distance. Southampton are the nearest and although they are Premier Leaugue finding a ticket is not easy and even then it is very expensive. The ground we have is not in a good state but this is largly down to the numbers who attend the games. With 5000 if we are lucky then it is not really a great surprise that the money is not available for a new ground. I think that people in and around Bournemouth need to have more pride in their team and come out and support them on a Saturday afternoon. In 1998 we got to Wembley for the Auto Windscreens Final. All of a sudden we found 35'000 fans. Where are they on a cold wet Saturday afternoon when the team and club need supporting. As with many clubs of our size it it the regular, loyal supporters who keep the club going. Considering we are supposed to be a community club we need the community to play a greater role. Come out and support the team and who knows, we may even win something?!?!? Summary: |
