Aiido is an excellent martial art. I Highly recomend Aikido for all. I started Aikido 4 years ago and from day one i found it very enlightening. i was worried that i would find Aikido difficult and tiring but it was all very easy. It teaches good self defence and is purely a self defence martial art as there are no attacking techniques. Aikido wwas invented by sensei Morehoi Usheba and has only been around for about 70 years. In Aikido you have 9 main principles then you develop techniques from there onwards. You learn defence against knives, swords, bottles and bats. It is very informal and at the end of each session we allways sit and chat about what we've learnt that day. It is also very relaxing. In the summer we also do school fetes etc and people are always intrigued at the simple yet effective techniques. It is an excelent way to meet and mix with new people and its also quite cheap. Aikido has changed my life for the better. to learn more about aikido, visit WWW.Seishinryu.org.uk. Summary: |
