My girlfriend went to an Ann Summers party and had a good night. I attended the last 30 minutes as I was dragged in too help my partner choose some clothing.

When the items arrived we found the size fitting way out, one item was about 2 sizes too small. It is hard too return anything easily; I have used online companies like Figleaves, who were very easy to deal with. With Ann Summers you either have to speak to the sales person that did the night, which means contacting the organiser of the night (usually a friend or friend of a friend), not always easy. Plus you may feel embarrassed, or post the stuff of, which can be embarrassing at your local post office.

Now that was the simple bit, the annoying bit is the small print. There is no refund, unless they break the 1994 sales act (which of course we all know of by heart). They will only exchange or give credit note and not give any money back. The only place this is stated is on the back of the invoice you get on the night, and its in small print.
Its your responsibility to return the goods and they wont pay for the return postage. Companies like Figleaves, pay everything and take the responsibility once its in the post.

I spoke to their customer support line, who again said there was no refund. In our case we could have a full refund on one item, as Ann Summers admitted this item was being resized. And was sold incorrect, unfortunately this was part of a set, but so far only refund will be given on the one item.

We all know you can't return used goods. Their clothing have stickers inside, so you can try them on, but once removed you can't return it, obviously. We haven't removed these stickers and 2 of the 3 garments haven't even been tried as you can see there wrong.

I am one of these people that hate messing around to return goods, thats why I liked Figleaves.
