Gods no of course not. IQ or level of intellectual ability is not the issue. Well, sure it IS between individuals, but as a gender disparity, hell no.

Frankly, the only reason why girls do better than boys at A levels is because they mature faster at that age.

Or to be more blunt about it, at that age, all boys want is boobies. That's it. All their effort goes into getting a feel of the tit, a glance of the nork, a peak of sunrise over the misty mountains.

And trust me, that doesn't change. Ever. We just learn to deal with it better.

Which comes back to maturity, girls are more emotionally stable at that age, they can focus better. Boys can't. Ask your boyfriends, your husbands or whatever girls, and guys will have all been here, as a teenager, your gigglestick and plum tomatoes controls itself and dominates every male of the species. Every boy has been there as a teenager in a lesson and for no reason, their colonel is standing to attention. It's distracting, it's embarrassing and it consumes us during our teenage years.

The fact that boys can still get good A-Level results proves that intellectual and academic ability is not a contributing factor. It's all a case of how well each individual boy can control himself and buckle down to do his work. On the whole, at that age, the gender with a extra little leg struggles to maintain focus and control where as the the other half of the population does not.

Simple truth, if boys good control their hormones and emotions at that age, they'd match the girls and it would be a matter of simple numbers that decides 'who is better'.

Sorry if anyone got a bit offended when reading that, but the question WAS asked.
