At the minute there are a few places that keep fond in my heart...

Visiting my family in the north of Italy, is always on my annual list of places to go. I call Salo on the side of Lake Garda, in the lombardia region my second home, because whether winter or summer its the most stunning place in the world. In the summer, its beautiful scenery cancels out whatever winter we have experienced here in England and in the winter, its bitter and crisp, which is perfect when the sun comes out and your all wrapped up warm.
Its extremly romantic aswell,so perfect for that weekend away with your loved one.
There are also an array of cheap flight airlines flying to Northern Italy. The closest and most convienient for Lake Garda is Milan Bergamo...but be sure to hire a car as the Lake is about a 45 minute car drive.

Another place that stays fond in my heart Is Istanbul, Serkeci. Its a fantastic and cultured city, with Turkish Life right under your Nose. You wake up to a skyline full of the most beautiful Mosques in the world. Its everything I expected and more and I hope to be flying out there again in February this year. :D
