Advantages: sometime cheap bargains

EBay is a US company worth billions. It started with a very simple concept, provide a site for people to buy and sell.

When EBay was in its first several years of trading it was easy to pick a bargain. When it became really popular it is more difficult to find one.

Ebay is a big market place. Much bigger than the car boot sale on Sunday. I find EBay a sad place now. Lot of people are selling fake goods. Cheap designer labels. Forget it. These are likely to be fake.

I won't trust anyone on this site. Bought a new computer last week. It wasn't new. I was duped. It was reconditioned with some parts older than Grandma. Old junk in new box. I put in a dispute. Payment was via paypal. May get my money back. It was a new seller, should have known better.

That is the things isn't it. Who do you trust? I tend to find people with lot of positive feedback OK. Newcomers are not all bad but you are taking a chance.

Something that stands out on a price could be a scam. Like I found out with my cheap computer.

Looking on the bright site. I made more money on EBay than I spent on this computer.

EBay is improving the site all the time. It is making it easier to use its site. Search facilities, power sellers etc.

I like Buy it now option. Instead of bidding you buy the goods at a fixed price.

I don't like the price seller has to pay to EBay and paypal.

Paypal is a electronic payment method. it is safer to buy using Paypal.

EBay sucks now because criminals are using it.

Summary: not happy
