Advantages: Unbeaten In a whole Premiership Season, Amazing Players, Getting a new stadium
Disadvantages: Not the best in Europe, Currently have a small Stadium, Reports that they are in Debt
Arsenal FC Have had a busy season buying 3 players and selling 10. With Reports of Patrick Vieira Moving to Spanish Outfit Real Madrid, more signings could be on the Card. Last Season the Gunners won the Premiership after going the League season Unbeaten. In the FA Cup, Arsenal got knocked out in the semi-finals to eventual winners, Manchester United. They also made it to the semi-finals of the League Cup, again being knocked out by the eventual winners, this time Middlesbrough. In Europe, Chelsea knocked them out in the Quarter-Finals over two legs. Enough about last season though, this review is about there chances this coming season. Players Brought In: Robin Van Persie ? Feyenoord ? £2,750,000 Robin Van Persie, The next Denis Bergkamp? Unlikely, but possible. The young Dutch-man definitely has a future ahead of him, but will he play a part in the forthcoming season. Only time will tell, but keep your eyes on him. Manuel Almunia ? Celta Vigo ? Undisclosed Fee Arsenal Put Pressure on German Goal-keeper Jens Lehmann by Signing Almunia from Spanish Club Celta Vigo. Although he isn?t expected to play a major role this season, He could In a few years to come. Veteran Goalie Lehmann doesn?t have long left in him, so Almunia could be his Replacement. Mathieu Flamini ? Marseille ? Undisclosed Fee A replacement Player for Vieira, if he leaves, shouldn?t be used if Vieira Stays. Player for the Future. Players Sold: Giovani Van Bronkhorst ? Barcelona ? Undisclosed Fee Brought from Rangers for Around £5 Million, sold for an undisclosed fee the Spanish Side. Failed to make an Impact at Highbury. Stathis Tavlaridis ? Lille ? Undisclosed Fee Greek Defender, failed to make an Impact at Highbury, sold to French Club Lille. Kanu ? West Bromwich Albion ? Free Transfer The Nigerian Had a good time at Highbury, new strikers brought in though forced him out. Good signing for
West Brom. Martin Keown ? Leicester City ? Free Transfer England Veteran Defender whose contract expired, Leicester snapped him up for Free. Got one more season in him, possibly two. Ray Parlour ? Middlesbrough ? Free Transfer Like Keown, out of Contract. Middlesbrough moved in for him. Still got plenty to offer. David Bentley ? Norwich City ? Loan Loaned out to New Boys Norwich to get First team experience, should be at Arsenal Next Season. Graham Stack ? Millwall ? Loan Young Goal-Keeper loaned out to get first team experience, possibility he might not be at Arsenal in years to come. Rami Shaaban ? Released Arsenal Decided not to renew his contract, he left on a free, Now with Leeds United. Bad buy for Arsenal. Igor Stepanovs ? Released Like Shaaban, not needed so left. Still young though, not Premiership Ability though. Sylvain Wiltord ? Released Arsenal?s Record signing (£11,000,000) was not given a new contract so left the Club. Not what Wenger wanted. Has Ability in Him Still. Chances off Winning the Premiership: High. Manchester United and Chelsea could be Threats, Bookies Favorites to win after last season?s performance. Chances of Getting Relegated: Dogs driving cars is a more likely option. No way are they going down. Premiership Finish: It all depends on Whether Patrick Vieira Stays or Goes. If he stays they are well in with a shout, if he goes however they could struggle to Get a top two place which means they would have to Qualify for The Champions League. My Prediction: Vieira Stays ? 2nd Vieira Goes ? 3rd Arsenal Facts: Manager: Arsene Wenger Stadium: Highbury Nickname: The Gunners Captain: Patrick Vieira Best Goalkeeper: Jens Lehmann Best Defender: Sol Campbell Best Midfielder: Patrick Vieira Best Striker: Thierry Henry
Local Rivals: Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Charlton Athletic and Fulham. Thanks for Reading, nj3591
