Disadvantages: Yet again Kanu misses vital matches

What's going on here then ? Kanu is all set to play football at the olympics and by doing so is set to miss out the opening month of the new football season.
How can this be possible when fifa regulations state that any profesional footballer is not allowed to play football for the olympics. Does that mean that Kanu is not a profesional footballer then ? Does he only play football for Arsenal for the fun of it ? and likewise with his National team ?
I believe that these rules should be made more clear by fifa and that they should stand by them more firmly.
