Advantages: justice prevailed
Disadvantages: innocent lives lost, exposed to the vulnerability, trumatised
well, firstly, ladies and gentlemen, what has happened on september 11 was a grevious sin against humanity. The numerous innocent lives lost in that few minutes was tragic, real and present. The people who had lost their loved ones in this accident would forever be burdened with everlasting pain and sorrow. And finally, this would always remain a vivid scene in the minds of all americans... Many people claim that america should not retaliate with force because two wrongs don't make a right and that if amnerica retaliates, there will be a whole different dimension to where the war would be leading to. But ladies and gentlemen, they say this because they do not know the agonizing time that WE are going through. They will never know for sure till they undergo the time we went through. The vulnerability we were exposed to, the fear that trumatised us for endless nights and the cries that rang loud and excruciatingly clear from the people who had lost their loved ones. They must put themselves in our shoes and experience it for themselves and oh, sure they will tell you " two wrongs don't make a right!" I would like to make clear for one that america has never intended for the innocent to die. It is not a war against the Agfans, the muslims or whatsoever but rather, ladies and gentlemen, it is a war against TERRORISM! Terrorism is something that makes life seem cheap in expense and threatens humanity onto the verge of extinction. I strongly believe that it is not the american's war as everyone claims but EVERYONE has a part to play and fufil in this war. We are and should not be mutally exclusive of the war against terrorism. It is now that we unite as one and fight this terrible threat that overwhelms us. America must retaliate. We must show and tell those terrorists that we will and shall not condone this act. Ladies and gentlemen, do you think me harsh to condemmn the innocent people in these manner? I ha
ve personally experience the aftermath of the 911 incident. My favourite uncle was killed in that few minutes. He had promised to come back during january to celebrate my brother's birthday with us but one thing for sure, he never could keep that promise. I am disgusted and appalled by the fact that the terrorist would resort to such a "cowardly act', that they would knowingly inflict harm on the civillians. Civillians who had nothing to do with them at all, ladies and gentlemen, people who unknowingly went to work for the day, not knowing that in a couple of minutes, never to be able to see their loved ones again.... is is not sad that we have degraded to such a society? i am deeply sadden by the attacks and i am sure that it has changed the lives of many people, just as it has changed mine. It is not the powerful chemical or biological weapons that threatens to wipe out humanity at the end of the day but ladies and gentlemen, humanity wipes out humanity....

- 29/03/02 And I'm rating this 'Not Useful', simply because it seems to have been written by an American for Americans. Therefore I have come to the conclusion that you've stolen it from somewhere. |

- 29/03/02 It's annoying that such an idiotic and flawed opinion has moved my review off the front page.
Let's look at a hypothesis. If America doesn't mean to murder civilians, you say it's alright that they go to war.
So if you are an innocent Afghan and a stray American bomb kills your wife and kids. Do you:
A) Consider what has happened and then accept that because America didn't mean to kill your family, you don't mind what they did and forgive them.
B) Become so filled with rage that you take up arms against America for it's arrogant view of the world.
I'd love to hear your response. |
