Advantages: Love of Home, Love of My people, We are winning
Disadvantages: bombing of the Twin Towers, terrorists
I have something that I would like share with you, this thanksgiving season. My 10 year old grand daughter wrote this at school.
The people of our country have fought for us, during the good times and the bad. We stick together as one. We have got thru the good times and the bad. Now since we are free some people say, Free are we the people of AMERICA.
Each of us matter to, God......
I didn't correct any of her spelling mistakes, because I wanted it to be her own words and not mine. But, as they say, out of the mouths of babe's.
They can bomb us, but they will never take away our America pride or the love of our country. We will always stand together as a people. We are winning ever day, just by the kindness we show to other's. Happy Thanksgiving!

- 28/02/06 I am going to go against the grain with my rating. I feel what your daughter said is very appropriate and puts the focus on what is important. Not the attacks, but the response to the attacks. It has been over 4 years now and still people forget what is really behind the American spirit of pride, love of country, and PATRIOTISM (something missing from most countries!)! And she is correct, all of us DO Matter to GOD!! |

- 26/11/02 A beautiful piece of text there, there's no doubting that. I'm sorry for the bad rating, but this opinion doesn't contain any of 'your' views on the attacks on the US, with so much happening you say that 'they can bomb us' but do you really know what that entails? I personally would not ever say the same of England, we may still have our pride, but I would rather take action than just concede to letting someone attack my country on the grounds that I love it and we'd still have the other citizens.
