The BBC's sports coverage has improved in some ways over the last few years however in other ways it has gone downhill. The major improvement in my eyes has been the way the BBC sport website has been transformed, a site that was once a poor source of information is now on the cutting edge of sports coverage. The BBC covers a very wide range of sports on television at the moment, for example covering Euro 2008 currently, and i feel the license fee money is very well spent in bringing in genuine experts who know what they are on about on all sports from football to boxing to horse racing. The BBC sport and media package is extensive to say the least. There are many different sports, from football to baseball. All these different sports can be accessed in many ways, TV, radio and even the internet. BBC sport does broadcast a wide range of sports, but unfortunately it is slowly losing its grip on football. It has sold the rights now to ITV for next seasons FA cup, and many other tournaments. ITV now owns the champions league, the uefa cup and the eufa cup. Sky and Setanta own almost all the other cups which leaves a small amount of room for BBC. The only football the BBC now broadcast is international. This is a real shame in my ...

The Good and the Bad of the BBC! Ok, now I must say that my opinion of the BBS is completely mixed. I think in parts it does a really good job, on others it is rather poor. My only real complaint is the fact that I have to pay a licence fee. OK, what does the BBC do well? I would say that there are some very good programs on the BBC, like TOP Gear for instance. Top Gear is a very enjoyable program that is well directed, funny and yet also informative. The BBC also produces a number of very good documentaries and nature programs that are very enjoyable to watch. However, one of the best factors of the BBC is in my opinion ...
