Advantages: Great website, Tv and radio, no adverts, BBC HD is great
Disadvantages: Losing many of the broadcasting rights,
The BBC sport and media package is extensive to say the least. There are many different sports, from football to baseball. All these different sports can be accessed in many ways, TV, radio and even the internet.
BBC sport does broadcast a wide range of sports, but unfortunately it is slowly losing its grip on football. It has sold the rights now to ITV for next seasons FA cup, and many other tournaments. ITV now owns the champions league, the uefa cup and the eufa cup. Sky and Setanta own almost all the other cups which leaves a small amount of room for BBC. The only football the BBC now broadcast is international.
This is a real shame in my opinion as one of the great things with watching BBC sport is the lack of adverts. BBC does not show any adverts, and instead opts to have a full half time analysis, which is great.
The BBC sport is constantly improving. I am told that a new article is added is every single minute. This is an astonoshing figure, especially as all these articles are well written and very informative.
The rugby is always great on BBC, as is the tennis and the olympics. The BBC owns the rights to the six nations and the olympics this year, so I will have a good time watching.
There is now a BBC HD channel, which does broadcast all the sport that is shown on BBC1 and 2 in glorious high definition quality. If you have a HD tv but no sky box and want to access this HD channel without paying huge amounts then don't worry, as a new company called freesat are now offering it up for a one time payment.
The BBC sport package is overall very, very good. This is the stage in my reviews where I would tell you to buy the product, but seeing as you should already have it as a UK citizen, I can't. Instead I recommend you use more of the features that I mentioned earlier in this review as you are probably paying for them without using them, which is a shame. Brilliant service, 5 stars.
