Advantages: In depth coverage and analysis

Disadvantages: Maybe letting it go a bit

The BBC's sports coverage has improved in some ways over the last few years however in other ways it has gone downhill. The major improvement in my eyes has been the way the BBC sport website has been transformed, a site that was once a poor source of information is now on the cutting edge of sports coverage. The BBC covers a very wide range of sports on television at the moment, for example covering Euro 2008 currently, and i feel the license fee money is very well spent in bringing in genuine experts who know what they are on about on all sports from football to boxing to horse racing. However they seem to be letting this stuff go little by little, first they gave up the rights to televise the cricket and now are phasing out grandstand which has been so good for so many years. Excellent coverage on all sports but worrying that they are letting it go a bit.
