This is the type of baby product that you either love or hate. I love baby walkers for a number of reasons. I think firstly they enable babies to become more steady on their feet and learn how to start taking steps. Walkers also help to strengthen babies legs and feet as they move around rooms. My views are a bit divided about the whole 'baby walker' thing. My first daughter didn't crawl until she was 11 months and she walked at 12 months. She was not an inquisitive child and was quite content to sit where I left her and play with whatever was to hand. She was a very easy child to look after and I never even considered getting a baby walker for her, first of all because she didn't need one, and second of all I had heard rumours that they were not so good for your baby's development, but because I didn't need a walker I didn't look into these rumours any further. Then my second daughter came along. Complete opposite to my first, very ... Read the complete review

I have three children and for all of them I have used a baby walker. There has been a lot of debates around baby walkers, weather they slow down the progress of baby walking and if they are dangerous. For me I started to use a baby walker from around 6 months which was the point where my little ones wanted to see what was going on around them and from a chair or on the floor they could not do this. So really I used this a high seat fro my little ones. I don't think they hindered my babies walking as I did not use them for a long period of time and at the point they could pull them self to the standing position I stopped used them. Most ... I don't think that baby walkers hinder your baby's progress with walking. All babies are different and progress differently. My son, (first born) was 15 months before he walked and 9 months before he crawled. He did use a baby walker a lot because he loved it. He had so much fun bombing around the house on the wooden floors. My friend's daughter (her firstborn). Used a babywalker constantly, never crawled and was walking on her 1st birthday and potty trained at 23 months. She has just been a very quick developer. My son has been quite slow. He is very chilled out and happy. My daughter also loved the baby walker but she was crawling at 7 months and walking at ... Read the complete review

I have two children myself, a daughter of 7 and a son of 1, neither of whom have never used a baby walker. The main reason neither of them have ever had one is that at the time I had my daughter there were lots of scare stories going around about them, saying that they were dangerous and hindered a baby's natural development (I personally wouldn't class the picture displayed in this article as showing a baby walker; to me a baby walker is where a child "sits" inside the walker and pushes it around using their legs). My son is now at an age where he is walking so would no longer have any use for a baby walker anyway; however, having read some of the arguments ... Read the complete review
