Advantages: Great Idea

Disadvantages: Makes children lazy

When I had my first son whos 5 years old now I was very sceptical about using a baby walker. Different people would tell me not to use it, it makes them walk on tip toes and others would say yes let them use it it strenghthens their legs. In the end I did choose to buy him a baby walker to help him get around. At 6 months he was really active crawling and pulling himself up on the furniture, so I thought buying him a walker would give him a bit of freedom. When he first got it it was great he would glide all aroung the house. After about a month you would put him in it and he would scream he wanted to be put on the floor never wanted to be put in it. At eight months he started to walk on his own with out any support. On the other hand my youngest son went in the baby walker at 6 months and has only just started to walk and he is 14 months. I think it just depends on the child and when they are ready to walk.

Summary: Great Idea for short term
