I went shopping yesterday in the small town I live in and popped in to the charity shop where I saw a kiddicraft push along baby walker. It is like a small activity centre on wheels .It has a handle to push it with.

The activity centre bit is at the front and has a mirror on it. Three balls to twirl a telephone dial and 3 flicky flaps and a clicker bit or two. I sat down on the shop floor and examined it the wheels were a little scuffed (evidence of use) it was clean not many scratches on it the dial worked fine firmly fixed. The mirror one or two marks on it, the flappy flicky flaps flicked well firmly fixed, the clicker bit clicked. Then I gave it a push or two the wheels went round not too fast so it would run away with baby but easy enough to push the wheels seem to be firmly fixed.

So I gave the assistant the £1.50p that was asked for it. Ok baby Adrian is only a week old but I couldn?t resist it will be useful in a few months time. Should be suitable from about 6 months.

Why did I think this push along baby walker was good?
Well it should develop motor skills balance and coordination.
The dial and flick bits will help develop fine motor skills. Will encourage understanding of cause and effect
It is bright, attractively coloured so it will be a visual stimulant.
It will encourage standing

I believe Kiddie craft are part of Fisher price now. Can?t find any details, Couldn?t find much about Kiddiecraft but when I did a little research about this push along baby walker I noticed that it looked almost identical to the fisher price one I found information about.

It is not a sit in baby walker, which I would not recommend Too many babies are put in these too early and if they fall over steps baby will go with it caught in the seat.
I would not recommend baby plays with his baby walker unattended by adult anyway , and not near steps but with a push along baby would not be trapped in his walker anyway.
Best to let baby develop at his own rate .He/ she will soon pull themselves up and take the first step in life. This walker looks simila to the Vtech first steps baby walker plus that has several opps written about it. Thanks for reading . I THINK I will have to sign myself Grand mumsymary now

Sounds great. Charity shops can be good sources of baby equipment as long as it is in good clean condition.
