I have always been against baby walkers because they are generally precarious and suit babies for a very short period of time. If you cannot adjust the height of the walker, you will happily let them play in it week in and week out but as they grow, their legs are bent rather than straight. Equally, when first put into a walker, most babies dangle in a desperate attempt to get their feet on the ground.

Many children progress from walkers to "unaided" walking but tend to walk on tip toe (a habbit they formed from the walker).

I fully understand the need for a parent or carer to have baby occupied and independent in order to do other things, but there are other toys which suit much better.

I have already reviewed the Graco Rocking Entertainer, so I won't detail it again, but it's a super toy, where baby is seated in but can't move around. They can swing around by using their feet and rock, if you set it to rock.

My second child used this static system from 4 months old and began walking at 7 and a half months !
