Nick Barmby is a quality player but there was a lot of debate about whether Liverpool actually needed him and whether he was worth the transfer fee. Well with the injury to Berger it seems that Nick will get a good run in the first team and should be able to prove how good he is.

Nick has played for England a few times and he had a good but brief Euro 2000 tournament. With Everton he was never really going to break into the England squad on a consistent basis. Its now time for Nick to show everyone that he is a very good player.
