Barmby has been accepted by the Liverpool faithful with open arms since his move across Stanley Park. The fans here love him and he turned out to be a better asset than I anticipated if not most Liverpool fans. His versatility has proved extremely useful and he is one of the only layers this season to have taken part in every game. He has also given the team some much needed width down the right and has been the first Liverpool player for a long time who has been prepared to get to the by_line and cut balls back. His partnership with Markus Babbel is also flourishing down the right side and it is sure to say that things should improve for a long time yet.
