Advantages: one for england

Disadvantages: not a lot

I have to admit that watching Gareth barry play for Aston Villa at the beginning of the season i was not too impressed with what i saw. But since then i feel he has improved an awful lot in such a short space of time and he has deserved his place in the England team.

In his first few internationals i do not think that he had the confidence in his own ability because of his movement and general work rate. In Turin early this month he proved to me that he can play at the highest level with a very convincing performance, even though italys performance was not so convincing he still showed enough for me. He showed more confidence in himself with good control on the ball and attitude towards the game. Definately one for the up and coming young England team.
