Advantages: TASTY, MANY FLAVOURS TO CHOOSE FROM, FRESH, SUITABLE FOR ALL
Disadvantages: A BIT HIGH IN SUGAR
Having been a professional swimmer (I wish……well yes I swam to a high level but I gave up too early to say I was a professional so let’s say amateur then) I used to shop around to find good energetic products. I always bought Gatorade for as far as I can remember not only for its nutritional aspects but also for the great taste. The first time I sipped one of the many flavours I was very surprise to taste so much goodness in an energy drink. I rapidly gushed down the bottle and opened another one just by greed. I believe today one of the best companies for sports products has to be Gatorade. There are a multitude of reasons around that belief. It is tasty, nutritious, wide variety of products, excellent packaging, and leading business and still at the top of the ladder in the sports industry. And above all Gatorade is a scientifically formulated and heavily researched sports drink. I mean that it is tested on top athletes and it seems to be the drink that many scientists devote time to constantly evaluate its effectiveness. Before, during and after a strenuous swimming session, Gatorade provided me with all the energy needed for my exercise. I felt extremely refreshed after drinking a Gatorade. Today I still enjoy the drink and I also tried some of the bars. And it is still the best drink for me. Packaging: Let’s face it, size does matter in some aspects of life and Gatorade makes sure you're covered. It comes in small, medium, and large bottles, powder form, & squeeze bottle with a very good lay out. Taste: It Tastes Good...Really Good Some drinks are grainy and not very tasteful but Gatorade is different from them it not only provides you a great taste but also is very refreshening and a very good thirst quencher. Flavours: as far as I know they are various and there is a better choice in the US but here are some of them: Lemon-Lime Orange Fruit Punch Lemon Ice
Tropical Burst Mandarin Strawberry Kiwi The drink aspects: Because of its perfect formula, Gatorade gets absorbed quickly into your body and gets the necessary energy to your muscles immediately. It is also committed to providing information in exercise science and sports nutrition. It will dehydrates you whether after competing, training, sweating over a burning stove, enjoying the heat of the summer days. Well whatever you do you need to replace the fluids you loose and Gatorade will replenish your metabolism. Tests have even shown that Gatorade dehydrates better than water. A bit of history now: It was first tested in 1965 and since then seems to be a winning drink. It was first introduced in Europe in 1988. The sales never stop expanding and it gets more and more purchased not only as a sports drink but also as an everyday drink. Whatever your thirst quenching needs and revitalization you are sure to find the drink in Gatorade range.

- 27/04/07 Gatorade didn't do it for me, I much prefer A.C.T. energy drink as it's more healthy with de-caffeinated Green Tea, Ginseng and 450mg potassium. No caffeine anhydrous and with only 4g sugar and 22 cal is ok for diabetics. The energy boost I got from Gatorade didn't last long or increase my sporting performance. I found A.C.T. to slowly release energy into my body (for about 4 hours) making significant gains in both sports endurance, mental sharpness and aided my muscle recovery after hard training or a session in the gym.
