We,ve had our Stainless Steel (Doors) Refridgerator (DN 143120 X) for about a year and a half, it was easy to reverse the door opening to the other way. It's as quite as a mouse, terrific to load and the swing out crisper. Great L.E.D. lighting 'fridge and freezer compartments. Easy to use and quick freezing ice cube recepticals. The Stainless Steel doesn't easily fingure-print mark. Hugely pratical and well thought out storage wise. We honestly can't fault it. (We're of retirement age and have always had, over 45 years of marriage, quality 'Fridges and Freezers (only 3 or 4 due to the 'best' brand names used) and this is by far the best. We have waited to do this review for a year just to make sure we weren't dreaming or just lucky. We're as sure as anyone could be that if this is the size you want you'll be as happy as Larry! (Even the dorrs are cleverly designed that they can be opened to at least half way without needing extra space so to fully open there only needs to be about 3-4 cms. extra room on the hinge side - may not seem important but with our restricted apature it's a huge bonus.)
I have had two of these, both have died within 3 years, compressor problems. Only got them because of its small size. I shall get a proper one this time. What utter tat. I bought a Beko Frost Free Fridgefreezer in 2011. It worked great until the guarantee ran out. I now have ice build up in the fridge part and it actually freezes the food in the fridge. Guess who won't be buying a Beko next time. I paid over £500 for this and expected it to last longer than 2 years xx I bet the manager of Beko does not have any Beko products in his home. I would put a zero star but there isn't one.
After our Zanussi gave up the ghost we were at a loss as modern fridge freezers can not tolerate low temperatures due to a change to EU legislation. However we saw that Beko had a fridge freezer that could work in ambient temperatures of -10 degrees celcius great we thought answer to our prayers we can now have a direct replacement for our previous fridge freezer which lived in an outside building due to the fact that our kitchen is not large only really room for a smalll fridge under the work surface. After 6 months we noticed that the drawers were no longer fitting properly it seemed the dimensions of the freezer had changed in fairness Beko were quick to appoint an engineer inspection who said the insulation had not been evenly put in the machine leading to contraction of the sides verdict replace with a new appliance ok we thought no worries new machine arrived however when the cold weather arrived the problems started as appliance failed to get below -5 degrees celcius in the freezer section now they warned that warranty will soon expire as it did not renew with the 2nd replacement appliance but on the original machine. They were trying to delay the visit and when we contacted the engineer Beko hadn't even faxed the job over to them. RUBBISH BUILD QUALITY AND EVEN WORSE CUTOMER SERVICE DO NOT BUY
Fridge OK so far but bottom drawers do not come out for cleaning - beware!
Got our BEKO fridge/freezer 29-09-10,left it to settle for a few hours, switched on,then it startedit was like a heard of cows in the kitchen,on and on moo moo moo.Next day back to the shop, they came a week later,"we will send a service man from BEKO,the man arrived to look and listen"thats the noise it makes bye" off he went so,back to the shop, will get in touch with the BEKO rep,he will sendone of BEKOS top service men,a service man arrived "nowt i can do you will have to put up with it"Thank N L SERVICES of PRESTON for nowt,if you want a peacful night do not buy a BEKO,
Beware BEKO products, My 83 year old father bought the above fridge freezer 18 months ago, he couldn't afford the extra £99-00 for extended warrenty & lets face it when does a fridge freezer fail under 7 years old, almost unheard of BUt you guessed failed , frozen food lost completely and BEKO have failed to abide by British Law that products (even out of Guarantee) shouls still be FIT FOR PURPOSE, EVEN AFTER GUARANTEESo Dad has had no help, no back up, they (BEKO) even failed to send a service engineer out totell him why it failed ( our handyman says it has lost the gas that keeps the frige freezer working. So BEWARE OF BEKO, ESPECIALLY THIER LACK OF AFTER SALES SERVICE, THERE ISN'T ANY O.A.P OR NOT.You have been warned.G Hardy Apex Drive Somerset. Does your fridge freezer howl like a WW2 dive-bomber!? Mine does. and has intermittently since I bought it 9 Months ago. I have reported it on a number of occasions to both Curry's - the retailer and Beko themselves and had 2 engineer's visit and on both occasions fault could not be found. Beko say that this noise is quite normal! in fifty years I have never heard a freezer make such a wailing sound! I was informed by an engineer that visited that the noise was due to the fact that the freezer was a second generation of the model, the noise is caused by the type of mixture of gas and oil used in the compressor. I have had no satisfaction either from Beko, or Curry's the retailer. Beko people tell me they have the same problem with their's, and a person from Curry's said she had a Hotpoint twelve years old that also makes a similar noise and has since it was new! As far as Beko are concerned it works, and I have to accept the noise. Curry's say it is for me to prove that there is a fault. £220.00's worth of grief! I either live with it, or buy a new fridge freezer (NOT BEKO - and NOT FROM CURRY'S) My advice - leave Beko alone!
Beko Fridge Freezers SIMPLY DO NOT BUY THEM THEY ARE RUBBISH THEY FILL UP WITH WATER THEY HAVE UNEVEN TEMPERATURE CONTROL THE DOORS DO NOT CLOSE SECURELY HAVE I MADE THIS CLEAR ENOUGH. OH ITS ONLY 12 MONTHS OLD I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO DO ALL ZEROS FOR QUALITY BUT THAT IS NOT POSSIBLE
DONT buy A BECO fridge freezer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DONT try and get if fixed after only 9 months.Dont ask to speak to a manager because they will tell you that after getting the freezer fixed for the third time its ran out of warranty!!!can you believe these people. And this was the second fridge, the first one didnt even start.hopefully you will heed this warning.Oh by the way as a good will jesture they said they would send an engeneer for £90 excluding labour !!!!
Don't go anywhere near a BEKO , we are on our second one in just over two years and it has taken them 6 weeks to send a part to their useless repair contractor. Low an behold it was the wrong part, so we are now looking at the very real possibility of having the family coming over for Christmas and we will not have a fridge grrrr. they also don't send out the real engineers first they only send out some guy who opens the door and say 'yes that's not working' , then you have to wait on parts and the second guys coming, all the time trying to keep milk cold in the sink. So please don't go near anything made by BEKO as they are totally useless and have a totally in efficient and convoluted repair network which doesn't seem to bother about fixing anything , so be warned .
I've had a Beko Glacier now for about 10 years. During this time, it hasn't broken down but... The door seal is not very good - you have to push the fridge door closed quite hard. The freezer section is not much better. The plastic draws in the fridge section, and the fronts of the freezer shelves have broken a bit and care has to be taken pulling them out so as not to break them even more. However, the worst problem is the water that collects in the bottom and has to be emptied every few days. It comes from the defrost system - ice collects on the internal back surface of the fridge, then melts as it goes through its de-ice process. It is supposed to collect in a channel behind the bottom shelf then run out the back of the fridge to evaporate away. Unfortunately, a big block of ice forms around the hole, blocking it. The water then drains to the bottom of the fridge, where it has to be mopped out - not pleasant.
My Beko fridge/freezer from Comet only lasted 1 year and 3 months to the day. At a cost of £350 its the worst electrical appliance I've ever had for reliability. Why are Comet stocking such poor quality products. Great features but stongly suggest you avoid.
bought from currys made in turkey broke in 18 months!! All the repairers I have spoken to have said they get loads of them to repair most between 6 months and 2 years old. currys after sales give misleading advice stating they wont do anything about it if they go wrong after 1 year and dont seem to understand the sale of goods act. dont buy any Beko product.
Beko Fridge freezer: not great, very uneven cooling in the fridge, warm and cold spots, ice down the back while the door shelves don't keep the milk cold so it goes off very quickly. cheap plastic interior cracked and hard to clean. water accumulation in the bottom. nice freezer on top though, very cold, frost free (mostly). I wouldn't buy a Beko next time though.
