Advantages: faster than using a phone, although it may at times be essential.

Disadvantages: less personal than phoning

Although I do not have to go through clearing, several of my friends last year had to and a few friends this year are just starting. The independant is the most useful paper to buy if you are going through clearing, as it gives clear and easy to read information on what places are left on which courses. However if you have access to the internet (which you probably doo if you are reading this!) then go to either the Ucas or Independant sites which offer the full universaty listings and are updated constantly, It is also a good idea to use your computer to send the Uni that you choose, your information via E-mail as this is the quickest way for it to reach them.
