I will never buy your products! (Best / Worst TV Adverts)

With so many awful adverts to choose from I feel spoilt for choice! However here’s my list of the top most annoying, boring ads.

1. At no 1 it has to be the current advert for the yoghurt drink yop. This ad shows several groups of people with dubbed reggae type singing. All the characters have large rubber looking lips and have obviously been chosen for their ugliness. I hate the taste of yop anyway and this ad would definitely stop me from ever buying the stuff! I really hope this ad is taken off soon as I have to switch channels every time it comes on I loath it so much!

2. In second place comes the injury lawyer for you ad. This ad shows a mock courtroom with a smug looking injury lawyer on the stand being cross-examined by another lawyer. He is being asked to reassure us that we will get all the money we are awarded should we be unfortunate enough to make a claim. We are supposed to be convinced that this company is above board and totally working to help get the best deal for their clients. The company may well be a good one but this ad has ensured that should I ever need an accident lawyer this firm will not get my business! I would love to wipe the smug look of the guys face!

3. In third place comes the ad for e sure. There are several of them around and they are all as bad as each other. I hate the stupid woman who waves at the camera whilst her partner tells us how wonderful e sure are.

4. Next on my list is another insurance company ad. This time it’s the one for Churchill insurance with the bulldog with the nodding head and deep voice. Insurance companies are obviously making far to much money out of us if they can afford the amount they spend on advertising. Perhaps they should think about investing a bit more on training their staff?!

5. Loan ads also really annoy me. There is one at the moment with Carole Volderman offering to make your life happy and rewarding by lending you huge amounts of money a secured against your home. These loans are never a good idea anyway but the ad itself is boring and unimaginative.

6. The D.F.S ads are next on my list. These tell you about the brilliant deals on offer and that you only have a few days left to secure yourself the bargain of a lifetime. Funny how the sale never seems to end at D.F.S though! These ads rarely change and again show no creative imagination.

7. I also hate the ads for Tesco insurance. This is the one with those stupid talking trolleys. The ad doesn’t really tell you anything about what Tesco are offering you so is a total waste of airtime.

8. Next comes the ad for Thompson holidays. This is the one which shows a carton plane flying to different destinations with the price it will cost you to buy the ticket. The ad is quite clever but it is accompanied by very slow music that I find really grating. I hope it disappears soon!

9. The ad for Asda supermarkets is another very irritating one. I hate the way staff and customers jump and slap their pockets with a smug look on their faces as they think they’ve got a good deal. The ad may be o.k. the first time you see it but after that it really starts to grate!

10. I wish the Halifax would now mothball their manager who advertises for them. This ad has been running for far to long now and we are all getting bored!

So which ads do I rate? Well I think most of the French car ads are very clever with catchy music to accompany them. I also love the Guinness ad with the surf. This is one ad I don’t mind watching again and again. I can’t think of any others I rate I’m afraid!
