I am turned off by adverts for the following - Asda, Vauxhall, Ford, Kellogs, Pepsi, Coke, the SUN newspaper, McDonalds.

Anything AMERICAN tends to turn me off. I like French products.

Vive la France.

The British don't make entertaining TV ads anymore. Back in the 1970's, ads were charming, funny and sexy in an innocent way. I used to look forward to sexy commercials for SURF and OXO. I sang along with the jingles- 'McEwans is the best buy, the best buy, the best buy, McEwans is the best buy, the best buy in beer.'

The 1970s were wonderful (apart from the Americans killing students at Kent State University and killing inocent civilians in S E Asia) Remember the Partridge Family, Ray Stevens and 'Travels with my Aunt'?

Now ads are produced by nasty people. They aim to ruin the livers of preteen girls and to ruin the teeth of pre-pubescent boys. Look how many ads appeal to greed, envy, sloth, and other deadly sins!

I seldom watch TV these days, because it's all drivel, especially the news, which seems to be scripted by Mossad or the CIA or MI6. I've stopped buying newspapers, because they're full of lies.

Operation Mockingbird was the CIA's plan, begun in the 1950s, to take control of the media. Looks like the security services got control of the mainstream media. I assume that that Ben ***** and that John ******* are agents of MI6. They fail to tell us that the CIA is behind all these people-power protests in Jakarta, Haiti, Georgia, and now Ukraine. They fail to tell us who was really behind the Beslan siege....

If I was Asda, I would try to hide the fact that Asda is linked to Walmart. If I was Vauxhall, I would try to hide the fact that Vauxhall is linked to General Motors.

I do watch a little TV - just the occasional Channel 4 programme (although after Mark Thomson took over, briefly, C4 went a bit down the plughole). If a C4 TV programme attacks Blair/Bush/Sharon fascism and fake terror, then I look to see which advertisers are advertising on that programme. I feel sympathetic to the advertisers.

I congratulate those who advertise on Bremner Bird and Fortune.
