Advantages: GIVE YOU A CHANCE TO GET THE KETTLE ON AND MAKE A BREW BEFORE BB COMES BACK ON!

Disadvantages: VERY ANNOYING WHEN THEY REPEAT THE SAME ONE OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND YOU ALREADY HAVE A CUP OF TEA!

I am not a huuuuuge watched of The Telly Box. I like being out in my garden, digging holes, planting things, watching frogs, you know, that kind of thing. But I have to admit to having become slightly addicted to a couple of TV shows in my time. Noel's Deal Or No Deal was one of them (which I'll review at later date, when I've recovered from the pain of its loss!!) The other one is Channel 4's Big Brother. Controversy aside, I have to admit to loving it.

The adverts give me a bit of time to calm myself down, pop the kettle on, and get a nice cup of tea (NO I am NOT a fan of Susie, I just happen to like a nice cup of tea from time to time!) and a biscuit.

So I thought I would review my most favorite and my most hated adverts. And here they are:

WORST
Thought I'd start with this one.
***Sheila's Wheels***
Oh My God. I cannot bear this advert - the song irritates me, the acting is sh*te, and its soooooo pink. Everything pink. Think they might be trying to get the girlie-factor over there. I don't have a car, but if I did, I would never buy my car insurance from a company called *Sheila's Wheels* out of pure shame at the annoying jingle and fear that maybe, upon buying said car insurance, some weird implant would be placed in my brain forcing me to chant same annoying jingle over and over and over until madness approached. Blimey, rant over. Awful, awful advert!

BEST
Aaaaah I LOVE this advert...I even watched it on the internet before writing this review and aaaaah, it's sooooo lovely.

***HOVIS IS FOR LIFE***
Picture the scene, little boy eating his sandwich on the edge of a cornfeild, and in the distance we see a little girl about the same age come out of the cornfield and towards him. They play in the cornfield, racing and chasing, doing cartwheels and handstands - as as they play we notice that they are getting older. throughout these smal scenes, the two children are apart, until we see the young woman leapfrog onto the young man's back. Walking hand in hand through their cornfield into a perfect sunset, the camera pans out and we see that they are followed by two children, their children, racing and chasing beside them. I love this advert, its so beautiful, showing the full circle of childhood freindship turning into long-lasting lifelong love. Aaah, it just warms the cockles of my heart!
I love the music too - haven't managed to find out who it's by, but it is a simple melody, played on piano, and it just brings the whole piece together.

So there you have my worst and best tv adverts!
Thankyou for reading.

Summary: Aaaaaaah Bisto....oops I mean Hovis!

I despise TV advertising and firmly believe that everyone involved should be hanged by the neck until they be dead. I haven't thought of a way to replace them and acquire funding for non-BBC channels yet, I'm working on it.

Dear Sheila,

Strewt h!!! Despite being an Aussie, I hate the 'Sheila's Wheels' ad too... Talk about stereo-typing us. Even 'Neighbours' and 'Home And Away' are more authentic. Hell, come back Paul Hogan... all is forgiven!!! And that guy in the ad who rips off his manly stuff to reveal a pink, sparkly dress... Well... I've seen more convincing trannies on Big Brother!!!

Lot s of love, Bruce.

Okay, okay... I 'fess up... it's just me. And no... I'm not Australian but you have to admit it's a skill to be able to probably upset Australians and Trannies (and even more-so Australian Trannies!) in one comment!!!
