Disadvantages: Watch out skyscrapers, someone's hijacked a giant swan!!

Because they are good at counting other people's money; because they get a polyester upgrade on their wardrobe; but it shouldn't be because they get to appear in their company's TV commercials.

Halifax is either very clever or very stupid.

They either deliberately hired very bad singers / dancers to appear in their commercials (in which case, good on you!), or, as they would have us believe, use their own employees.

If the latter were the case, the said employees were probably paid in luncheon vouchers for their efforts - so the management must be very clever because they couldn't get away with that if they hired unionised actors - not even very bad ones. Still, they must have spent millions on buying slots.

But do they think they can irritate the public into opening an account with them????

It's sheer torture watching physically and vocally inept people doing a song and dance about some very boring products which, if anyone could be bothered to do just 5 minutes of resarch, would know they are far from being the best on the market.

Believe me, I'm not a body / beauty fascist, but if these were real employees I would rather see them behind a counter where they belong. Why would a fat twit gyrating next to a dog make anyone buy something I have no idea. He was bad, but not bad enough for the Eddie the Eagle factor.

I've been wanting to air my opionion on this ever since the ads first went out, but there was no appropriate place for it - until now.
