My Nan is the luckiest lady! (Bingo)

I have to give Bingo a 5 star review because last year my Nan won over £50,000! The over this Christmas she won around £4,000. My Nan plays Bingo around 3-4 times a week, sadly her luck is not passed into me!

Bingo halls have become quieter due to the smoking ban, a general slump in community gatherings, and the ability to play at home online. This means there's more opportunities to win!

As soon as I was 18, my Nan persuaded me to go to Bingo with her. She plays at Gala. She likes it as it's a chance for her to get out, socialise, and get a little rush. It also needs concentration, so keeps your brain active.

I found it really funny, as the hall was so old school and retro. The games started off at around £5 for a line and went right up to hundreds of thousands. My Nan's big win was on the High 5 game, where you link up with other halls. She was the first winner, and won on a number with a 5 in it, so got a huge extra bonus, the biggest being if you finish on the number 5.

There's also games you can play in the break that you can activate from your seat, and you can opt out of some starter or ending games. It's very versatile. I love how an older audience was use technology easily and they can get involved and use computers like the Wiz (see below).

The hall is so spacious that you feel very comfortable. Everyone is quite old and I felt so bad about playing that I didn't want to win and take their fun! Thankfully, or unthankfully, I've been five times and haven't won once!! Boo!!!

One time, my Nan got me the 'Wiz', which is a machine where you play loads of boards at once, but just typing in the number as it's called. It is so confusing, I kept messing up! Stress! My Nan is a pro but I was confusion central and just couldn't keep up with the caller and monitoring 20 boards at once!

But I'll always relate bingo to my Nan and it has brought her decades of hapiness. Maybe one day I'll be as lucky!
