Boarding Kennels in generalNewest Review: ... if I knew a puppy was lurking in the vicinity I'd have it straight in for a cuddle and a big fuss to let it know that kennels is FUN. Secondly, why couldn't Pig have a look? All the dogs were in their kennels and for me, it was important to gauge Pig's reaction - she'd always been in kennels because I'd worked in them but due to moving 50 miles away from her usual holiday home, I had to find a new one and I wanted her feelings on the place. Although I don't agree with a lot of this kennels' practices, I ended up working there and everyday Pig comes with me - she hates it - her little brakes go on even though she's only got to stay fo... more |

We would like to highly recommend Mansditch Kennels. As an owner of a very nervous 18 month old border collie, I was dubious about leaving him at all when we had the chance of a holiday. After speaking to somebody who recommended Mansditch Kennels, we went to visit them and was instantly impressed. We have just returned from our holiday and our dog is fine. We would never hesistate to send him there again.

~~*~~*~~ Boarding Kennels & Catteries ~~*~~*~~ When it comes to choosing your holiday, the hotel itself features pretty heavily it has to be said. You wouldn't just pick the one nearest to the airport or go for the cheapest and hope for the best. So why is it that when it comes to man's best friend, many people are willing to use the two aforementioned options solely in choosing their boarding kennels? Having worked in many different kennels (I don't get sacked frequently, I just move around, a lot) I've seen a few excellent kennels and some with very worrying procedures. I didn't last long at The Worst Kennels in the World, Ever, as I ... Read the complete review

The cattery in chingford is the worst ever created, i believe it should be shut down! We go on holiday and expect our cat to be exactly the same as we left her happy, healthy like she always was. I disagree that they do everything they say, they must just about feed the cats.
Just 6 days into our holiday we recieve a phone call saying our beautiful cat has passed away, this is all thanks to this shit cattery as we gave her in extremely healthy and happy and this crap place managed to kill her! she lived perfectly for 13 years with us and in t he space of just under a week this hell hole managed to kill her.
I would not advise anyone to take their cat here it is the worst place ever!

We took home a different cat! September 06, 2008 Never again. I do not believe that the cats are fed twice a day! We took in a confident, happy, healthy, playful, and gentle cat - but when we went to pick her up she as already in her carrier (no idea how long she had been in there) and she was wild eyed with fear, and hissing. When we got her home she looked sick, depressed, dazed and was clingy and unresponsive for three days. She was also really skinny having lost loads of weight in just one week. Our cat then cried everytime we were out of sight and got really distressed. Worse, when we tried to stroke ... Read the complete review

I did work experience at a boarding Kennel in Buckinghamshire for my college course in animal care. They over booked and put some of the cats in guinea pig hutches and dogs in cages. I know some kennels aren't as bad but for some it is all about the money coming in. Any treats toys were put in a bag outside the pen/kennel and never given to the animal. I will never put my animals in a Boarding Kennel. I'm now at uni (applied animal studies now) and work for a great company who are an alternative to boarding kennels, Platinum Petcare are based all over the UK. www.platinumpetcare.co.uk You can leave you pet at home and have someone visit them or you ...
