Once again we see American jingoism running rough shod over British Tactics. The sheer naivety of the American forces race to Baghdad has left the UK forces to clear up the mess. While the gung ho Americans race for glory to decapitate the opposition. The Iraqi Forces re-group and hit at the venerable UK rear echelon supposedly backing up the front line troops.

Most of the UK losses have been as a direct consequence of American inadequacies. There inability to control there own troops has lead to one of there own attacking his leaders while they slept. The knock on effect was that a full scale alert and the usual panic shown by US troops ensued. Resulting in the missile attack on a RAF plane so called Friendly Fire once again. How come its always the US that shoots down its own.

The American forces are supposed to be the best equipped in the world. The British forces are the best tacticians. So why not have the UK control the Battle field and leave the US to do the supplying and mopping up operations. Which when you look at the history of warfare utilises the best attributes of each to the greater effect of the whole.

The answer is the obvious one Americans are the great conquers of the world dictating there own brand of imperialism of the mighty Dollar. And the whole of the western world dances to there tune, or else:

I have never supported the need for this war. However now that we embroiled in it I give my full support to the British Forces and hope against hope for a speedy and successful conclusion.

The humanitarian aid is the key to success. The sooner we start to win the hearts and minds the sooner we start the beginning of the end. We must in all of this remember that the Iraqi people have been suppressed for many years. They are pre-conditioned to be sceptical of our good wishes this will be the hardest and most important battle to win.

If this review was for anything other than war I'd congratulate you on your excellent use of paragraphing! However, it's not so I'll stick to the more serious points. In the run up to the war I was always undecided about whether it was justified or not - changing my mind almost daily. I'm still not convinced we were right to go ahead, but like you I'm of the opinion that as it's already started and there's nothing we can do to change that we should just do all we can to support the troops, and hope and pray that it's over soon.
I really liked your review, it was well planned and thought provoking. I originally gave this review a 'good' rating, but after reading it through a second time realised it was more worthy of 'very good', so altered it accordingly. Well done.
