Advantages: Great spirit
Disadvantages: They are going down!
Bradford is a very courageous team in my view. They battled bravely against relegation last season and pulled off an unbelievable 1-0 victory against Liverpool on the last day of the season to condemn Wimbledon to the first division and save themselves! The Bradford team is made up mainly of British players, which means that they would not have the problems that a team like Chelsea would have if a limit on foreign players were introduced, as is talked about by UEFA and the FA. It is good to see a team that has so many home grown players, as this can only be good for both the club and the English game in general. I see Bradford’s best players as being Dean Saunders and Gary Walsh, as Dean has proved a great influential striker who has put a good many goals away in his time at Bradford and Gary has always proved quite reliable behind the shaky defence. I hope that Bradford will be able to pull off another miracle this year but I fear they will not be so lucky this time round, which is a shame as they are a team that has always been 100% in spirit and effort during their time in the top flight. They may not have the financial resources to buy their way out of trouble and have been unlucky with the likes of Stan Collymore and Dan Petrescu, who have moved to newer pastures. I fear that it is time for Bradford to return to Division One this year, but knowing their spirit and attitude, with a few more class players they could soon return to the big time. A shame to see them go down and I hope that they won’t, but I’m afraid I can’t see them surviving this time round! Sorry boys!
