Bridgend have spent heavily this close season, picking up the lion Dafydd James as well as Gareth Thomas, Cerith Rees and a number of others. There is great anticipation down at the Brewery Field. The fans expect the team to deliver. Last year they delivered European rugby for the first time, all be it by the skin of their teeth. This year they have to be, at the very least, serious contenders for domestic silverwear, be it the league or the cup.
