The site that I went to was in Wybosten Lakes in St.Neotts near Bedfordshire. The grounds themselves were beautiful and made a perfect setting for the jump. The jump itself was over a lake which is quite calming when your at the top. The time coming up to the jump, I ... more

Bungee Jumping is one of the things I have wanted to do my whole life. However, I kept putting it off, either for lack of time or lack of money or just making an excuse saying I would do it later. I did my first jump a couple of years ago and what can I say, it is an amazing feeling that you can't quite imagine. I did mine through the UK Bungee website, which I thoroughly recommend. You have to book in advance, and places to book up quick so get ahead. The site that I went to was in Wybosten Lakes in St.Neotts near Bedfordshire. Ok picture the scene....You're seventeen, in your second or third month of work experience at a local radio station, and they ask you to go and cover a bungee jump for charity. Not a problem, you think, I've done loads of reporting since I've been here. Then they say we want you to do one - you're ok with that aren't you? NO WAY! I'm terrified of heights. After much debate, I bring the lovely news editor round to my way of thinking, and head off down to the jump. On arrival, Kev - also from the station - and I head down to this absolutely enormous crane, and almost collapse as the person dives off. Kev actually had to catch me! I ...  Read the complete review

Tonight, it was the night of the May Ball. Tonight, it was a night of drunken debauchery had by many students in Aberystwyth. Tonight, it was the night I hurled myself off a 200ft crane in front of hundreds of people with two of my flatmates! Now that I've had a chance to sober up a bit, I am going to tell y'all about my fantastic insight into the world of bungee jumping! After 6 hours, I'm still on a euphoric (legal!) high and it feels great! The jump itself was organised by the university and only cost a paltry £25. From this specific company, it is usually £40 ...  Read the complete review

Sunday 30 June 2002 started much like any other Sunday. I managed to sleep right through to 9:45am defying my body clock which usually wakes me at 7:30am in blatant disregard of Sundays. It was the day my girlfriend’s brother had agreed to do a bungee jump in order to raise money for a local children’s nursery. We were going to go and watch him for some moral support since the world cup final was on, they weren’t expecting a great turnout. From the Ground ************** We got there around 12:15pm. The bungee crane had already been set up and we arrived just as the cage containing a man in his mid thirties began its ascent. A few ...  Read the complete review

If I close my eyes I can still picture the rushing river 350 feet below my feet and still feel nothing but air around my body! Bungee jumping is the biggest thrill that I have ever done in my life! I jumped from the Victoria Falls bridge in Zinbabwe. My bro has actually already written his opinion on the jump! He's 3 years younger than me and had been looking forward to jumping off that bridge for nearly a year ("hey rach...it's 3 weeks until we jump!"). Personally, I hadnt really thought about it...until we went to the bridge the day before. The bridge is quite small and the platform from which we jumped is in the centre. ...  Read the complete review
