I recently purchased a Canon Stylus Epson CX3100 for S(Aust)349. (That is about 140-150 English pounds.) It will use quite a bit of ink, not all that economical, but I love it because it produces beautiful clear copies in colour oor black and white. It is also a flat bed scanner, very easy to use. I can put a photo of my granddaughter on it and scan it, which takes a couple of clicks and a short wait. That file is then ready to save or email to friends. I can also use the printer as a photocopier, even when the computer is not running. Since I have often had to line up at the photocopier in the library or the post office in the past, this is great, I don't ... Read the complete review

I know....printers.....what to buy?? As a photographer printers are an important part of my trade. Not only do they have to be high quality, and fast, but they also have to be economic. Many people suffer from the good old problem of having to change a 3 or 4 colour ink cartridge because just 1 of the colours has run out!!! EXPENSIVE WASTE !!!!!! Forget the price of the printer....cheap ones only last about 3 years and you will spend more on ink than you do on the printer itself!! A few rules : 1) Speed is measured in PPM (pages per minute)....is it fast enough for your needs 2) Does it have 2,3 or 4 (or possibly more) ... Read the complete review

I have been using my Canon LBP-660 in a home office environment for over three years so don’t expect this to be a current model any more. However, much of what I am about to say could apply to any entry-level laser printer, Canon or not. A lot of people will think that, because they need a printer including a colour capability, that they must stick to an inkjet of some kind. Well, of course in the case of the colour requirement, they’d be right, since the cost of a colour laser doesn’t bear thinking about, unless it’s for corporate use, and the cost of not just competent but excellent colour inkjets is now very low. What ... Read the complete review
