Well, what can be said about this? I really enjoy this advert, as it's a very abstract off the wall piece of amusement, that will have yourself chuckling to yourself at the very concept. A large gorilla playing the drums to Phil Collins, would not be the most obvious choice for advertising chocolate, but in my opinion it really has ... Read the complete review

As a keen watcher of vintage ads, this one is pretty damn good, and it will probably in the Top Ten Ads for the 2000s, if they ever make a chart programme for that. Your thinking, a CGI gorilla drumming to a Phil Collins song, what's that got to do with chocolate? It's because it's Cadbury's, and only an iconic company like Cadbury can get away ... Oh dear. I seem to be the only person in the world who hates this advert! I actually have to turn it off if I ever see it on telly, it makes me that bad. Don't even think to ask me why because I do not know. I just hate it it with a complete passion, it offends me on a deep level. Possibly. This advert relies on ... Read the complete review

I had heard plenty about this advert before actually having the pleasure of watching it. And a pleasure it was too infact it was better than the product it was advertising. The moment it came on to my screen i was in awe at how life like the gorilla was and the genius behind this advertising campagin certainly knew what he was doing adding ... Read the complete review

In my many years of television-watching, I have never seen a T.V ad as good as this. I would love to have seen the moment the person on Cadbury's marketing team thought of this idea, relaxing back in their chocolate armchair in Cadbury's headquarters just thinking until "Eureka"! A gorilla playing drums to Phil Collins, its the perfect ... Read the complete review

This advert is just genious. A gorilla playing the drums (very well) to Phil Collins' 'In the air tonight' advertising chocolate! Absolutely nothing to do with chocolate but still an effective advertising strategy. The song is key to the success of this advert. The advert starts by moving slowly across the gorillas eyes while the music begins to ... Read the complete review

I don't know if they give out the equivalent of Oscars for adverts but if they did I think this would have won one. This is an amazing advert - how anyone came up with idea I will never know. The idea is so totally off the wall. Why on earth would a gorilla decide to play "in the air tonight" which was originally made famous ... Read the complete review

Every once in a while a TV advert comes along which surprises and moves the nation. I cannot remember one that had so much of an impact as this one. What is it: The advert is for Cadbury's, whenever I have watched it, it has been for the Dairy Milk bar. The advert features a drumming gorilla. What is so good ... Read the complete review

WHAT IS IT ABOUT: This 90 second advert features a gorilla drumming along to the song "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins. At the end of the advert, we are shown the Cadbury's Dairymilk logo. IS IT ANY GOOD: This ad heralds a new age in advertising, and it is most welcome. The idea comes down to viral marketting, ... Read the complete review

Listening to Scott Mills yesterday on Radio 1 he does a regular little segment called Oi Whats Occurring where he uses the voice sample of the fat woman from Gavin and Stacey and her catch phrase, the copetition has two people answering questions and then either a vox pop or some other way ofestablishing the right answer is used, yesterday one of ... Cadbury Advert I am not sure if I am getting old or just don't get things anymore. I really don't have much time to spend watching television and to be honest tend to record programmes on Sky plus and play them back at a later date. This also has the added bonus of allowing me to fast forward through the adverts which lets face it seem ... Read the complete review

One of the best TV ads I've seen in a long time is the Cadbury's drumming gorilla advert. I'm so glad there is a category for it on here as I'd hate for anyone to miss out on seeing such a wonderful piece of cleverness. Cadbury's have come up with the drumming gorilla to advertise the brand in general rather than for a specific ... Read the complete review

It is rare that a TV ad comes along that has the whole country talking, yet last Summer (2007) we witnessed an incredibly clever piece of advertising for Cadbury's, with a man in a gorilla outfit playing the drums to Phil Collins' hit track In The Air Tonight. The whole country started talking about it. It was immediately praised as an ... Read the complete review

Well what a strange thing to be able to review... the Cadbury's 'Gorilla Advert'. Come on, own up - who suggested this! Anyway, seeing as it's listed here on Dooyoo, I'll give you my verdict on it. According to Wikipedia, the original ad premiered on the 31st August 2007, and achieved instant cult ... Read the complete review

What a fantastic Advert! This has got to be one of my favourite adverts of all time. I was a little disappointed when Cadburys decided to play a snippit of the advert and not the full version that we all love. The advert is based on a Gorilla, whilst sitting alone in a purple room, singing 'in the air tonight' and drumming ... Read the complete review
