Sol Campbell Reviews

Newest Review: ... League 2? Yes we needed to strengthen the defence, but there was no need to get a player of Campbell's ability. Oh how I was proven wrong. I went to watch Sol's famour only appearance for us at Morecambe and his lack of fitness and general desire was embarrassing. You may think this review is being written out of sour grapes now he has left but I implore anybody who believes this to please watch the video of his performance at Morecambe - it was shocking! It was pretty obvious after that game that he didn;t have the stomach to get himself fit and play at this level so he walked out after signing a 5 year contract. If he thinks he has the ... more

I'm a Notts County and have had the displeasure of watching this deluded over the hill player at our club this season. When he first signed for us, my first reaction was why do we need a player of his calibre to get us out of League 2? Yes we needed to strengthen the defence, but there was no need to get a player of Campbell's ability. Oh how I was proven wrong. I went to watch Sol's famour only appearance for us at Morecambe and his lack of fitness and general desire was embarrassing. Arsenal and England international defender sol campbell, born in 1974, made his debut at tottenham in 1992. four years later his strong powerful and pacey performances got him his england debut. in 2001 Campbell made the switch from tottenham to arch rivals arsenal during which time he became a crucial part of wengers winning team throught several leagues and cups. recently as he gets older he has been superseeded by john terry and rio ferdinand. a series of injuries and personal problems kept him out of much of arsenals historic champions league campaign - tho he still popped up to score for arsenal in the final. for england his ... There is no way Sol Campbell should be in the England team. Its not that he is a poor defender but he just does not want to win, a problem that is now indicative of the whole side. He is a greedy w*anker who does not care about football just money. He left a club which he had supported and held together for nine years to go to Arsenal. Anywhere else an it could be put down to ambition and the Tottenham fans woul still have loved him but to go to the scum, on a free transfer that he forced Alan Sugar to give him does not just take the piss but it shows that he could not give a damn about the fans just himself. It shows that he is greedy and selfish, he can play in a side . Read the complete review

Yes, i'm a Gooner. And i was made up right from the off when we signed young Sulzeer, because despite the fact he'd spent his last few years languishing away as the best thing in a mediocre side ( you know who i'm talking about..! ;-} ), he obviously had a lot more to give. Remember that it was Arsene Wenger who brought a finesse to Tony Adams game that hadn't been there previously, and he even extended that great man's career by a few crucial years. We've seen Wenger's magic start to work on Sol too. Once he settled in - and it was always going to take a while - he's become the reliable heart of Arsenal's ... Read the complete review

Sol Campbell played for Tottenham Hotspur for roughly 10 years, which he played well throughout his time with Spurs. At Spurs he made a great impact and slowly but surely became a great football player and then he decided he wanted to enhance his career further by joining Tottenham’s rivals Arsenal. I feel that his move to Arsenal will enhance his career because lets face it Arsenal are a better side then Tottenham and have better players that Sol can learn more off. I feel he is a World class player and can only get better. He has a lot of talent and has so far used it to his own advantage. Sol Campbell has a lot of pace and hardly any ...
