I think that capital punishment should be brought back. In an age where DNA results are so conclusive I feel there can be no doubt in a persons guilt. In my world I would get rid of anyone who has connections with child pornography. Why should these filth bags prey on our young only to be let off because its an " illness " Total rubbish, ...

Capital punishment is topical issue which will always have relavence. I feel inclined to agree with the use of the death penalty, but and i must stress this, only in the most extreme and serious cases. The average cost of detaing a prisoner in a uk jail for 1 years is roughlt £25,700. Which I'm sure most tax payers would agree is to much to pay ...

Capital punishment brings together the dispute of "An eye for an eye" against basic human rights. I personally can understand the call for the return of Capital Punishment in the most severe cases of serial killers, serial rapists, peadophiles etc. However the question of miscarages of justice has to come into play with many people ...

As I have quite strong views on this subject, I thought it would be a good topic to write a review about. First of all I would like to state I definitely think there are individuals out there who do not deserve to live...serial killers and rapists, anyone who harms children and babies, people who kill and torture for their own perverted ...

I like to think that if we did have the death penalty then maybe, just maybe, one of the gang kicking some helpless victim on the ground would have enough sense to pull the others off before the victim died, on the basis that 'we don't want to swing for him'. I don't believe anyone or any statistics which say that the death penalty is no deterrent. It would deter me!

While I do not condone the taking of life for motives of revenge, I feel that there are people out there who will never have any feeling for the taking of innocent life. Recently , we have a case where one man killed five women for some sort of sexual kicks, another where a man raped a tiny baby. Surely these individuals are ...

I support the use of capital punishment. It should be on the statute book to be used in appropriate cases. This means it will not be mandatory so not used in all cases of murder. Some domestic killers deserve more pity than punishment. The point of the death penalty is to punish the guilty, deter others from a similar course and ...

What some people consider capital punishment seems to vary significantly. I believe that capital punishment is a physically harming a person for cmmititng an offence be this criminal, or otherwise. Under that logic, a teacher beating a boy in school, as was common many years ago, counts as capital punishment. So is all capital punishment wrong? Is ...

Imagine a man whose hair is shaved off. He is being strapped to a chair with belts that cross his chest, groin, legs and arms. A metal skullcap-shaped electrode is attached to the scalp. Then imagine a man pulling a handle. Suddenly the prisoner’s eyeballs begin to pop out and rest on his cheeks. He defecates, urinates, vomits blood and ...

This is one sided view of death penalty. I was always againts it. However in the last six months I have shifted my position and now I strongly believe in death penalty. UK has to leave EC to enforce capital punishment. There is great need for it. Death penalty should be given to drug dealers Death ...

Note: Although there is no doubt that countries such as those in the Middle East see capital punishment and particularly public executions as a fair and just way of punishing those who commit adultery, steal or follow unacceptable faiths, I have chosen to look into the Western Worlds view of Capital Punishment and more specifically the United ...

I used to think that the saying an eye for an eye was fair, and in most cases it probably is. It is the little doubts, the niggling of the conscience, and the general state of the justice system that has changed my point of view. Recent goings on in the world have given me cause to rethink my position, and to reflect on what I really ...

First of all, thanks for reading my review. Feel free to leave me any comments and hopefully you will rate me as well. Second, as an evangelical pastor and having lived in the USA for many years, more than a few people automatically assume that I am in favour of capital punishment or death penalty as some refer to it, while others seem ...

Having worked with offenders in the past, I know from their comments that if capital punishment was an option less of them would be likely to offend. I recall one offender telling me "if they cut off your hands for thieving like they do in some countries, this jail would be almost empty and I for one wouldn't be ...

Britain's most well-known hangman Albert Pierrepoint, who hanged over 300 men and women during his career, said after his retirement, that he didn't believe his actions as a deterrent had prevented a single murder. What he was saying was that people don't set out to commit crime thinking "hang on (no pun intended) what happens if I get ...

My personal opinion of Capital Punishment, is that in effect it is pointless, in the context of the UK which i will write about. In the UK, this subject pops up every so often, every time some psycho out there does something for the media to latch onto and exploit. The subject of Capital Punishment is not worth arguing however, ...

Capital punishment (CP) is one of those punichments that should have gone out with the iron maiden and Spanish Inquisition. But it remains. It is often described as the ultimate deterrent, and is used in many countries. Yet these same countries have high crime rates. Firstly, CP, or any punishment, by itself, does not reduce ...

Is there such a thing? We know that all governments across the world have this topic in their ledger but thats as far as it goes. We live in a time of crime, dishonesty, debauchery and the list goes on, but as all countries know it nothing gets done about it. Arms deals and buying up space and fighting wars is way more important than ...
