Car boot sales have got their own little place in the list of quirky things to do in britain on the weekends. I first started going to these when i was a kid with my parents, and still go now from time to time.

The good thing about car bot sales is how little the whole set up has changed over the years. The simple concept and 'does what it says on the tin' nature of them means its easy to pick up. Most of the stuff available is junk, but the fun part is searching and once in a while coming across something special. Couple of years ago i cam across a really cool batmobile toy! One man's junk is another man's treasure, and its always worth pulling over to a car boot sale when you see one, because you never know what you might find, for a super cheap price.

Its great fun, and a good opportunity to meet some of the country's more eccentric sellers!
