I absolutely love car boot sales but dont often go to many as i never have enough money! I love the bargains you can buy too. I brought a book once for 10p and it turned out to be one of my favourites ever! The bad side to car boot sales is generally the good old English weather, as its quite unpredictable and you never know whether ... Read the complete review

Well what can I say about car boot sales other than I am a huge fan!!!! I have had some brilliant experiences from both the selling point of view and the buying point of view. I first went to car boot sales with my parents when me and my sister were little. My parents were always short of money, and it was a good way for my mum and dad to clear ... Read the complete review

I remember going to car boot sales when I was a bit younger, didn't find them too appealing probably because I didn't have much money to buy anything with or there were not such bargains to be had back then. Well probably more the fact that the things I wanted were new up to date things that were still pretty expensive, yeah that's more like ... Read the complete review

A couple of years ago I used to regularly spend Sunday morning rooting around at the local Car Boot sales, if the sun was shining I sat outside the tea hut and idly enjoyed a cuppa, if the weather was bad then I just `did my rounds` and headed off home. I just had to get a `bargain`! it really didn't matter whether I wanted or needed the ... Read the complete review

The car boot sale is a fairly recent phenomenon and I think in a way it's had its day. There is one that operates near where I used to live, it is on every two weeks, I went rain or shine. I loved it and sadly now I miss it (in both senses!) Find your junk, fill the car, get some change and bags, hope it doesn't rain, stand firmly ... Read the complete review

Car boot sales may seem trampy to some people but in my opinion there is nothing wrong with it. It is a great place to go when you are perhaps a bit short of cash. You can find great bargains at a fraction of the price for what you would pay for it in the shops. Haggling is expected as the sellers over-price to start off with. If you are bold ... A buyer's perspective I'm a big fan of car boot sales. Sunday afternoons are normally spent wandering round my local car boot sale looking for bargains. The one I visit most has got to be at Hexham. The reason I prefer this one over others is that the organisers are really strict regarding copied DVDs/CDs, Market Traders, Food Stalls ... Read the complete review

I have done a couple of car boots in my time and they area good way of getting rid of stuff you have around the house that you no longer need as providing youare reasonable with your pricing it is amazing what people will be prepared to buy from you, personally I have never bought anything from a car boot as most of the stuff is junk but I guess ... Calling all early risers and bargaint hunters!! A Boot Sale usually goes on on a Sunday morning bright and early about 7am. Plenty of people turn up with their cars loaded with their "junk" to try and make some money out of it, brilliant idea. Obviously some stuff people sell is literally just "junk" but sometimes one mans junk ... Read the complete review

Wakey Wakey .. You need to be up at 6am to make sure that you get the best of the bargains as most car boot sales kick off at 7am. If you can get out of bed on a Sunday morning it can be well worth your while if you are interested in getting some good bargains. For most car boots this weekend will be the last one of the season. They will kick off ... Read the complete review

Car boot sales are what my mum and nan used to take me to every weekend, they used to get the local paper and find all the local ones, we used to go to 2 or 3 every weekend. We used to pick up some great bargains, I have done a few car boots myself, all is great if you have the weather on side, and its a good way to make a bit of ... Read the complete review

I heard this morning on GMTV that Car Boots are going to become more popular again due to the whole 'credit crunch' crisis so I thought I'd write up my opinion. I've been to a few car boots, some not so good, and did my own car boot for the first time last month. Car booting is a good way to get rid of unwanted bits and bobs, though buyers will ... When I was a lot younger, my dad would occasionally take my brother and I with him when he went to do a car boot sale. I never really understood the concept but always had fun. We often left having sold most of what we took with us, and dad would sometimes buy us something we wanted if we saw it on another stall. More recently, car boot ... Read the complete review

It is true to be said that some people can use car boot sales to make a living. They bargin hunt and then sell on ebay or other internet auction sites and make a profit. The trick is to have an eagle eye, to spot the deals and haggle the seller down to a price you want. Generally most of the time the seller always asks more than want they actually ... I love car boot sales. Some of the amazing stuff I have found there is amazing. I have found old books that I couldn't find online, toys from my childhood and lots of hobby stuff. I love to haggle with the sellers. we have a bit of a laugh. Now as much as it is nice to get a bargain, it is not nice to offer a seller a stupid price for ... Read the complete review

Car boot sales have been very popular for the last 20 years or so but even more so during the last couple of years. Firstly what drives people to decide to do a car boot, and I am sure it's not just to use the paste table thats been gathering dust in the garage for the past two or three years. I love going to car boot sales on a Sunday just to see if I can grab a bargain, but I have to be strict with myself and analyse if I really need the hand bag for a quid or more storage jars for the kitchen. I usually avoid the dealers because I am more interested in browsing through a persons unwanted belongings and getting a good deal. ... Read the complete review

As sunny days start to finally appear, and it's safe to venture out without an umbrella in tow once more, it's time to head off to that British outing, the car boot sale. If you have somehow escaped ever going to one, car boot sales are places where folk clear out all their old tat, dump it on a couple of old tables (wallpaper tables ... Read the complete review

Just a word of warning to other potential carbooters to Quorn carboot- even though this is held in a field, the owner gives you a space the size of a postage stamp to sell your items. He cramps them in and still has the cheek to ask £7. When we asked for a bigger space he was VERY OBNOXIOUS. AVOID-DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS ONE.

Visiting a friend for the weekend I was informed there was an annual car boot sale in their village, to raise money for the Christmas lights, and would I like to go. I had been to a car boot sale a while ago when I was moving house and wanted to get rid of unwanted items, but never been as a buyer. So here is my experience of car boot ... Read the complete review
