Glasgow celtic is the best football team in scotland. They are followed by their passaonate supporters all over the world also very big in America. Glasgow celtic are from Scotland but have a big role in Ireland.

Celtic was founded by an Irish brother on 6 november 1888. It was formely founded in St Marys hall in East Rose Street. Finding the football club was a fund raiser to his charity which was putting food on the table for poor children . So Brother Walfrid the founder named the club celtic because of its irish roots and scotish origins.

On 28th of May celtic played their first offical match against rival Rangers with Celtic beating them 5-2. Celtics first ever goal scored was by Neil macallum.

Celtic Play in the Scottish Priemer Leauge. Celtic have won the championship 42 times and the scottish cup 34 times. The won the european cup in 1967 beating Inter Milan. This was history they were the first British club to win the European cup.

They have been a very sucessful football club and they still continue to do so. The play in Green and White the Irish colours and also known as the hoops.

A great football team with great history and as an Irish supporter I do know the history unlike some supporters who think they support the team but really dont know nothing.
