Disadvantages: lack of strength in depth

Last night was one of Celtic's best european performances i have ever seen. It has made Europe stand up and take notice of Celtic, the team that used to rule Europe. Ajax were sure that they would blow past us, their manager Co Aadrianse said, after the beat Liverpool, that Celtic will go out, they won't have a chance against his Ajax team. Well last night we proved him wrong and europe should take notice. Just the week before we beat Manchester United 4-3 at Old Trafford, this should have gotten us a bit more respect and under Martin O'Neil i believe this Celtic team can go far in Europe this year and in the future Celtic can once again be kings of europe.

However, I feel a few new players are needed, firstly, Celtic need at least 1 top class goalkeeper. Sure Rab Douglas is good enough to start in the SPL, but is he good enough for the elite? I think not. We also need at good defender, because let's face it Tom Boyd and Oliver Tebily are just not good enough. We also need 1 more top striker, someone who can play with either Sutton or Larsson and cause a major threat, but someone who won't mind a rotation system. Sure they just signed John Hartson but i can't see him being good enough for the elite competitions can you?

So with a bit of luck i feel this season could be a fantastic season for Celtic both domestically and more importantly in Europe. And with another few season under the guidance of Martin O'Neil I feel we can go on to become the top team in Europe once more and bring the glory days back to Parkhead. Who knows, we may even get another trip to Lisbon along the way..
