I think everyone is happy that Alan Curbishley will be involved in the England set-up. He’s turned Charlton’s fortune round. He’s bought well J. Johannson from Rangers is an excellent buy. One thing you need in the premiership is quality strikers with Hunt they can form a good partnership.

They have quietly progressed this season, and I don’t think they will get relegated. The first day win against Manchester City 4-1 was an excellent start for them and they haven’t looked back since.

The recent signing of Mark Fish for a bargain price is an excellent addition to the squad. He’s a good player and can play in defence or midfield and a international. They also have Mark Kinsella who’s an excellent player for Charlton. If he plays well the team normally does well.

Alan Curbishley has got a good squad together which will survive relegation comfortably. They had a disappointing defeat against Ipswich last weekend but I think they will continue to do well in the forthcoming months.

Nice to see a team come up and not go straight down as the case has been more often than not.
