Advantages: Loyal Supporters

Disadvantages: A Chairman Who is a lunartic to say the least

People reading this who support Premiership clubs just won`t understand the position we as Chester Fans are in.They are watching a high standard of football and are watching players bought for millions of pounds and then start complaining when there multi-million pound players aren`t performing.
Well spare a thought for Chester fans whilst your complaining about being runners-up instead of champions.Only fans who have been through the same situation can feel how we do.Relagated out of the football league, yes the football league after 69 years of existance and we get sniggered at by people when they ask who do you support.Well let me say to those people,(the majority)of Liverpool and Manchester Utd fans are glory fans(not all,but most)they go to a game once every four years or in some cases never atall. There is one fan in particular I know at Chester who goes away from home and when she returns off the supporters bus goes straight to work. You wouldn`t find premiership fans doing that they`d just say sod it,we`ll watch match of the day and get millions of pounds for having it screened.Thats the passion and loyalty thats in the lower leagues and that equals if not beats that of premiership supporters.
Just spare a thought for us when we are going to places like Boston and Scarborough on cold Tuesday nights while your away playing Real Madrid and then complaining when your 2nd or third in the league or have only got a draw against a team you should have beat.I`am fed up of hearing fans moaning, and ripping there teams apart even when theyve won.Just think what we have to watch, but we do it because we are loyal to are home club.At Chester you actually feel part of the club you know everyone that goes away from home, and its always a friendly atmosphere not the hooliganism that goes on around top flight football.
We have had to put up for the last 15 months with a chairman who doesn`t give a monkey`s about the supporters, all he wants is as much money as he can
get from the club.He offered us shares then said we couldn`t have them because we would then have a say in the running of the club and he wouldn`t want that.Weve even have to suffer him as manager for half of last season which led to are demise,he doesn`t give a monkeys about are feelings and no matter what we do its hopeless, its like banging your head against a brick wall.I still can`t believe we are in this situation, only 3-4 years ago we where in the second division and ever since this pillock has taken over we have been on a downward spiral. The feeling that went through the supporters on the day we where relegated was unbelievable you felt like there was no purpose of life anymore, its was undescribable, and not what a would recommend and especially after all the Peterborough fans there where singing your going down at the same time.Well all I can say to them is I hope they end up in are situation one day and then they will no how it feels. All I want is to watch football but we have to put up with all this politics day in and day out.The chairman is even being investigated now for beating up a safety officer and our game last week was called off because none of the stewards would turn up because of the fight he had so therefore we are fined £5,000 which is alot to a club like Chester.
I really don`t know how we are going to get out of this mess, and sometimes you just want to cry.Hopefully we can get promoted this year we are sixth at the moment, but I can`t see it becuse all the off the field problems are starting to rub off on the players and at the moment things can only get worse.
And just let me add the standard of football in the conference is very good, often much better than the third division.

Having those kind of problems is a dreadful position to be in. Hope it turns around for you soon, it seems as if you deserve much better.
