Child abuse is very common in this country and worldwide and shockingly more common than we think. I was shocked when I did a little research on line at a few facts on child abuse. Here are some below: Every ten days in England and Wales 1 child is killed at the hands of their parents. More than a third of rape cases reported to the police are committed against children under 16. 6 percent of children receive emotional maltreatment at home and 6 percent receive absence of care during childhood. After reading a review from kimgraham when I first started on Dooyoo I was touched by her bravery as to what she wrote about her experience. I couldn't start a review on child abuse without mentioning the two contrasting, and lets face it, fascinating public trials of the McCann's and Mathews family over the last 12 months. The McCann's were upper working-class made good whilst the Mathews were underclass made bad, Karen having baby after baby with seven different men to increase her benefits hand outs, both legal outcomes what we expected and what our judgmental society demanded.
