I am appalled by the recent news that the US government proposed they buy the toxic emissions quota from other countries, most likely third world countries. How can they do this with any kind of conscience?

The US is the biggest polluter on the planet and should deal with its problem in a responsible manner and not just wave money at it. They have the money to deal with it and the scope for technology to reduce emissions. Developing countries do not have the money or infrastructure to deal with it. I’m not sure what the official response to this is yet, but I hope that it is dismissed, as it deserves to be.
Global warming will not be curbed with the planets major powers acting this way.
