Ashley Cole is a footballer who currently plays for Chelsea and England as a left back. He was born in Stepney,London on the 20th of December 1980. He started his career at Arsenal as a teenager and made his debut in November 1999 in a game against Middlesbrough aged 18. He established himself as Arsenal's first choice left back after an injury to Sylvinho towards the end of the year 2000. He had great success at Arsenal winning the premier league twice (2002 and 2004) and the Fa Cup three times (2002,2003 and 2005). He also played in the Champions league final for Arsenal in 2006 as they lost out to Barcelona. He made a controversial move across ... Read the complete review

Play attacking, faking injuries, and deliberate intents to get an opponent sent off have rightly been condemned in English football, unlike Italy where a lenient attitude has made this side to the game acceptable. The English media has been able to dismiss previous cheats as being foreigners such as Klinsman or Ginola, unaccustomed to what we find acceptable in the English game. Now, an English player has to account for his deliberate cheating. Cole’s ability as a full back has come under significant scrutiny. He has great ability going forward, but often lacks the defensive capabilities to perform consistently at this level. His concentration and ... Read the complete review

Ashley Cole hasn't been in the Arsenal frame for long. He was always overshadowed by Brazilian Silvinho and it seemed that Ashley Cole would never break through into the first team. Then Silvinho got injured and would be sidelined for about a month, this was Ashley's chance to come in to the team and play his socks off, and boy did he. He was getting rave reports from fellow players and managers and eventually even a rating from England manager Sven Gorna Erikkson. This lead to the youngster playing for England in some World Cup qualifiers. Now Silvinho has been sold to Celta Vigo after some passport problems it leaves Ashley to play week in week out ... He is a really good player and he plays for a good team that are currently in the premiership. He has got a left leg and a right leg and so he is able to use both his right foot and his left foot when he plays football. He must know what he is doing because if he didn’t, he wouldn’t be playing football. He can also use his head, which is something not many people can say because if they use their head, it hurts them and they start crying and it becomes a disadvantage to them in the match. I think this player will have a good season and I hope he scores a lot of goals because he is probably in my dream team. ... Read the complete review

I'm going to have to go against the flow on this matter. I think Ashley Cole lacks the slightest bit of defensive knowledge, shown perfectly in the two England internations this week where he was abysmal and should have gifted Albania the lead with a clumsy needless kick in the box. On the attack he is as good as Silvinho. He can run past players with ease at times (i.e. against players with the pace of Peter Beardsley), but is a little too predictable. When he gets near the touchline he seems unable to put in good crosses for Henry to feed on. He's no Phil Neville in that respect! He would be a key candidate in a wing-back system where ...
