Computer and Video Game PiracyNewest Review: ... money when I can try the album beforehand at home for nothing? Would YOU buy a record you'd never heard no, or even heard of their music? And this applies to computer gamesas well, many a time I have downloaded a computer game to try it out before buying a real version. Why? Because you get more in the REAL copy, suchas online play. Back on topic - No, the future of small labels taking off ... more |

This is what I ask you all, is it really that bad? Are Filesharers to blame for high prices and artists with small labels not making money? Are they terrorists those who sell CD's on the street? Is the propaganda the government sends out in waves really true. I present to you one word - No. I admit to being a filesharer myself and not paying for a lot of my music, however, what I do own are CD's of lesser known bands. Would I have bought their CD if not for file sharing? Tis unlikely as the Small record label albums are hard to find expensive, and if not for the net I would not even of heard of them. I don't want to waste 15 pounds of my cash on a small label ... Read the complete review

Software piracy is evil. It does'nt matter how its done. Either by Copying console games Downloading commercial games before they're released Mass copying games to sell Or whatever. I have visited xbox sites by people who claim to be xbox gamers but all they like about the xbox is the easyness to chip and run pirated software, movies and music and cheat the xbox live service as well. Well these people can go to hell, do not pass go do not collect 200 pounds. I have read also that some chippers say its legal to get their console chipped and its legal to copy games provided that they are games you own so then they become "backup" copies ... Video game piracy is a major problem for the game developers and they struggle constantly to combat it. It all started years ago with the advent of the gaming computers, the amiga's and commodores. They produced hundreds of games which could quite easily be copied from onne disk to another without much hassle. There was a measure of protection but it was easily conquered with photocopied manuals which allow the right answers to be found to the protection questions. Other than that the games companies did not worry about these pirates as the cost of the games easily covered the cost of production. Then came the advent of the good PC games, these ... I was looking today, and you can actually get GTA3 as an EXE file... starts like all the other games, 1-9 are the weapons... you go forward with up etc... Some people have forked out about £45 for this, and you can get it free by typing in 'gta3' and downloading it in 205 Minutes? This piracy issue goes futher than we think! I just searched for it and I found 4 or 5 actually .EXE files to download. It's not fair at all to people that shelled out the RRP for it. It's all well and good having the game, but on these versions you don't get the music do you? The radio stations are one of the best features of GTA3. I'd rather have a ... Read the complete review

Well, in an attempt to get rid of all my locked ops, its time for an overhaul!!! Well i have to say, im pretty much in favour of piracy. The main reason being that im usually skint but ill take the moral high ground and say that I think that computer games companies charge far too much for their products(HAHAHA) For starters you can pay 50 quid for a game only to find out that its crap, and you can buy a budget a quality budget game like caeser III for under a tenner.(even though that was just as expensive only a few months earlier) What really annoys me about this is that the old games are always the best, i could never get fed up of playing ...
