Advantages: know the truth, knowledge is power
Disadvantages: the truth can be ugly
Conspiracy Theories are rumours, more often than not based on at least a grain of truth. As with every issue, if you want to uncover a conspiracy theory, you need to do your homework, ie. find that one grain of truth that might be there, somewhere in that theory. Some years ago, I heard of somebody who knew someone who had a child who was damaged, allegedly by a vaccination. As my own daughter had just received a vaccination to which she reacted with a fever, I felt somewhat uneasy, so decided to find out for myself whether it was possible that there could be damage caused by vaccines. I could not really imagine that there would be more than, say, one case of severe side effects in a few million. Just like there might be one death in a few million measles cases, or mumps, or chickenpox. First I looked at statistics. No can do. Have you ever tried to get any statistics that are not, in one way or another, doctored? With that road pretty much closed, I tried a different approach: I looked at studies that showed how safe vaccines are. I did not miss the small print and started to get suspicious. The vast majority of those studies was funded by one or several pharmaceutical companies who manufacture vaccines. Then I found out about the VAERS, the Vaccine Adverse Effect Reporting System, in the US. I checked out their website and learned that the estimate is that only up to 10% of adverse effects are reported, either by parents or pediatricians. Then I learned that, in the US, a tax is imposed on each vaccine, purely for funding the VAERS. Aha! What clever politics. So, because in the US childhood vaccinations are mandated, the pharmaceutical companies are not liable for any adverse reaction! So, naturally, it is in the greatest interest of the pharmaceutical industry to have vaccines mandated, and they are willing to spend quite a big chunk of dollars to ensure the mandating. They buy politicians, they buy decision-makers of the FDA and CDC. Having recentl
y come across a press release issued by the lawyers who litigate the thimerosal (a mercury derivative that is contained in some vaccines) cases on behalf of parents who have children suffering from mercury poisoning due to vaccinations, I was not even surprised to learn that Eli Lilly has known since the 1930s how damaging thimerosal really is. And how did they know? They tested thimerosal and its effect on a group of patients who were dying of meningitis. Since, obviously, all patients died of meningitis, the company listed this as "proof" that thimerosal is not dangerous. And how come they did nothing to improve their vaccines when in 1976, an article in the British Medical Journal stated that proof exists of a chemical reaction between thimerosal and aluminium derivatives and that burns have been experienced by people who received a combination of these two ingredients in a vaccine. Not only did they ignore this proof, they continued to produce thimerosal until some years ago and have licence agreements that will last at least until the year 2010. To this day, the DPT vaccine contains both ingredients. And every day, a few more children suffer from side effects following the DPT shot that is given in most western nations on a routine basis at 2 months, 4 months and 6 months of age. Some live, others die. Those parents who grieve the death of their child are not safe, either. Some of them, like Sally Clark in the UK, or Alan Yurko in the USA, are locked up in jail, accused of Shaken Baby Syndrome, because "vaccines are safe". I looked at the ingredients of vaccines, too. And found it very interesting that such yummy stuff like chick embryo tissue, green monkey tissue, aborted fetal tissue are used. Today I learned, reading a thorough MMR vaccine insert on Merck's website, that "Medium 199", on which Measles and Mumps are grown, contains fetal bovine tissue. How old are those poor souls who died or suffer from Jacob-Creutzfeld-Dise
ase? Did they receive the MMR shot as children? Bang, there goes the "theory" of conspiracies.
