Advantages: None time restrictions are a bad thing

Disadvantages: Health risks, stress sickness need I go on.

I have just returned from a very relaxing holiday with my family in a very rural part of central France and what a laid back way they live their lives and are certainly not controlled by time as we are here in London.

In small towns around where we stayed the staff get 2 hours for lunch and even then don't open again until they are ready.
We went to the supermarket at 2.30pm as that was the time it should have opened and it ended up opening at 3.15 pm with no word or reason why.

This really made me relise just how much we are controlled by time in England and especially in London after all can you imagine a Tesco opening late they would get lynched on opening.

I hate being rushed to do anything and at home, work even leisure there are loads of time restrictions and rules and I have only just relised that it really is not good for us to be rushed to do everything it causes stress and all sorts of illnesses.

On talking to a lady member of staff in the said supermarket she told me that nobody has gone sick in 3 months and that is a rareity nobody really goes sick, could this be down to the lack of time restraints etc etc.

We do not have a great deal of time on this earth as it is so why we have to be controlled by time all the time I will never know but it is not good for us and I really wish that the same rules of life that these golly French live by could be implemented worldwide and we would all be a lot more chilled and who knows that old chestnut of I got a tummy bug might dissappear.

Time is short so go out and enjoy it you never know when your time may be up and your health is worth more,2 hour lunches and 3 hour working day would suit me hee hee.

yes I know what you mean. I was in Italy ealier in the year ans their way of life is amazing. They set off at 8am and return for dinner at 12.30. Eat their dinner, have a sleey and return about 4pm till 8pm ready for supper.

Nobody goes to be until 2am as it was so hot so the whole town comes alive with people, and children eating ice cream and walking on the beaches.
LOvely way of life.
